The project includes construction of a 12,750-sq. ft. facility to provide the Alabama Army National Guard adequate storage and breakdown of ammunition into issue quantities for units. Ammunition will be brought from Anniston Army Dept, Alabama and placed into ready and general-purpose magazines for transfer to pre-engineered, prefabricated steel magazines for overnight storage and hand-off to units. Bid documents are available on or about 24 May 2000. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered.
