Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation (F26600-00-QC047) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5. This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. The SIC code for this solicitation is 3448. Far 19 classifies small businesses as those that gross equal to or less than $18.5 million annually based on the average of the offeror_s past three fiscal years. The item description is as follows: Non-Personal Service to purchase and delivery of a Structural Burn House/Tower. Contractor will provide personnel to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, and equipment necessary for unloading. The contractor is not setting up structure on site. The complete unit consist of an elevated structure (tower) of four floor levels under a flat roof, with interior stairs, joined to a single story structure (burn room annex) with a 12_ in 12_ single pitched roof. The tower will be complete with an exterior stair, Fire Dept Connection and eight rappelling rings. The burn room annex to be complete with _Westemp_ insulation and temperature monitors to provide a live fire burn room. The tower roof to contain chop-out hatch and parapet walls. The unit is The Lieutenant (WH-3S) MFG WESCO Steel. All materials shall be new and shall conform to applicable ASTM specifications. All structure materials used, 12 gauge or less in thickness, whether exposed or not to the elements shall be galvanized.
