Z -- FACILITY OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR THE EPA ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CENTER LOCATED AT FORT MEADE, MD. SOL PR-R3-00-10025 POC Marie E. Facility operation and maintenance support services includes as a primary function the operation of heating, ventilating, conveying systems, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and maintenance and operation of plants, buildings, laboratories and equipment for the EPA Environmental Science Center, Fort Meade, Md. The facility has an approximate size of 140,000 gross square feet. The facility accommodates 154 offices for scientists and staff. It consists of two (2) buildings with adjacent parking lots and grounds. The main building houses 70 wet and instrumental chemical and microbiological laboratories in addition to other administrartive meeting and training rooms. The other building is a waste neutralization building. Mechanical operations are either in a penthouse or in the basement. The Service Contract Act (SCA) will apply to this acquisition. The proposed contract is a 100% set aside for small business concerns. SIC Code 8744 applies to this acquisition. A site visit is also scheduled for this acquisition at the Fort Meade location.
