The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River has a requirement to procure 2,500 Minimum to 6,500 Maximum MA-16 Omnidirectional Inertia Reel Assemblies. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal and negotiate with H. Koch and Sons Co. Inc., 5410 East La Palma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92807 on an other than full and open competitive basis. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with H. Koch and Sons Co., Inc. to procure 2,500 Minimum to 6,500 Maximum MA-16 Omnidirectional Inertia Reel Assemblies (Part Number 015-870145-3-16, NSN 1680-01-437-0396). The proposed action will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Requirements will be ordered and funded under individual delivery orders. The estimated ordering period for the contract will end 31 December 2001. Vendor must be qualified to Revision F, the latest revision to the Military Performance Specification MIL-R-8236F, Reel, Shoulder Harness, Inertia Lock.
