The Bureau of Reclamation, PN Region, Boise, Idaho, has a requirement for replacement seals and associated hardware for Black Canyon Diversion Dam Drumgates. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented in accordance with the format included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) is being issued as 00SQ10180 and quotes are due May 18, 2000, COB. The RFQ incorporates revisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification is 3069 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Arrangements to receive the materials shall be made at least 2 working days in advance with the above contact person. Delivery Schedule: The seals shall be provided within six weeks after receipt of order. General Description: The contractor shall furnish all materials listed in Table 1 (List of Parts for Three 64' x 14.5' Drum Gate) in accordance with this paragraph and as shown on drawings 3-D-3039 and 3-D-3040, both as revised 4/28/00. The following tolerances shall be held for dimensions between finished surfaces unless otherwise specified or shown on the drawings: From 0 to 6 inches, plus or minus 0.010 inch; Over 6 to 24 inches, plus or minus 1/64 inch; Over 24 to 60 inches, plus or minus 1/32 inch; Over 60 inches, plus or minus 1/16 inch. At the option of the fabricator, the 1-1/4-inch-radius bend in backing bars, part nos. 4, 5, and 6, may be made with a full penetration welded joint provided that downstream seal stop, part no 8, is modified to suit. The elastomeric parts shall be per mold designations described on Table 1 from Buckhorn Rubber Products, Inc., 5151 Industrial Drive, P.O. Box 998, Hannibal, MO 63401- 0998 (573) 221-8933, or equal, with the salient characteristics as described in the statement of work and drawings.
