This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=pin=. The purpose of this procurement is to purchase four (4) each Schlieren quality windows for the Unitary 9X7 Foot Supersonic Wind Tunnel at NASA-Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, California in accordance with the specifications attached herewith and the specifications on Drawing No.327C-5116-M15 (Rev B), dated May 2000. The drawing has information that is not included in the attached on-line specifications; therefore, it is imperative that prospective offerors review the drawing prior to submitting a quote. A copy of the drawing will be mailed upon request by contacting Mark Lefler at mlefler@mail.arc.nasa.gov or by calling (650) 604-3038 (PST). The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-15. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3211 and 1,000 employees, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Final delivery to NASA Ames Research Center is requested within 16 1/2 months from date of award. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. See delivery schedule section 5.1 in the on-line specifications. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for this procurement are due by 2:00 P.M. Local Time, May 25, 2000. Quotes may be mailed or sent via overnight delivery to: NASA Ames Research Center, ATTN: Mark Lefler, Bldg N213, Room 216, Moffett Field CA 94035-1000. Quotes must included; solicitation number, FOB destination to ARC (Ames Research Center), proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration, taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed and dated by an authorized company representative. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. Addenda for FAR 52.212-1 are as follows: Compliance with Veterans' Employment Reporting Requirements (February 1999). By submission of its offer, the offeror represents that; it is subject to the reporting requirements of 37U.S.C. 4212(d)(i.e. the VETS-100 report required by federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era); it has submitted the most recent report required by 37 U.S.C. 4212(d). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act-Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin.
