E-MAIL: Carlos R. McKenzie, cmckenzi@pop200.gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for three (3) Miniature Sun Sensors for the Space Technology 5 (ST5) spacecraft. Each device will determine the angle between the sun line and the spacecraft spin axis, for use in the spacecraft's attitude control system. The Sun Sensor must be capable of measuring the sun's position over a spin rate range of a few rpm up to 40 rpm with a nominal spin rate of 20 rpm. Each unit shall meet the full performance requirements over this spin rate range. Solar aspect information will be provided to the spacecraft in digital or analog form. Each unit shall meet the following requirements: Field of View: 4 PI steradian (spinning) Accuracy: 0.50 from spin axis normal to 1400 30 from 1400 (from spin axis) to 1900 Resolution: 0.10 Mass: Less than 0.25 kg Envelope: Less than 90 cm3 Total Power: Not to exceed 0.2 Watts Bus Voltage Range: 3.3 to 5 Volts 14% Radiation Total Dose: 100 Krad No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these cites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and point of contact—address and phone number). Technical questions should be directed to: Otilia I. Rodriguez-Alvarez at e-mail Otilia.I.Rodriguez.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. Procurement related questions should be directed to: Carlos R. McKenzie, Jr. at e-mail Carlos.R.McKenzie.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product.
