Materials and services are required for implementation of two Volunteer Monitoring Programs for the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. A shoreline monitoring program called Beach Watch, and a program which monitors the health of the central California harbor seal population, called SEALS. This effort is contracting for Volunteer Monitoring Program Manager, and Data Management Specialist services to deliver: all recruitment, training, supervision, retention, communication and support of volunteers' needs, including a biannual newsletter, brochures informing potential volunteers of each program's benefits and requirements, distribution of required permits needed to conduct some volunteer activities, NOAA volunteer documentation to provide for Worker's Compensation, management of photographic documentation, management of data documentation, and analyses for both the Beach Watch and SEALS volunteer monitoring programs. The period of performance will be a base year commencing on or about September 1, 2000, and two additional one-year option periods.
