THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. ANY RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE ARE NOT CONSIDERED A REQUEST FOR AN RFP. The government is contemplating awarding one contract for repair and calibration services for the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), Brooks AFB TX. The PMEL mission is the timely production of calibrated Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) meeting stringent quality standards. Customers use this TMDE to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and maintainability of missions systems. Certification must meet minimum requirements of the Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL) Program as detailed in AFI 21-113 and TO 00-20-14. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform initial inspection, repair and calibration of medical and non-medical equipment, technical support plus logistic support. In addition, the contractor shall provide all necessary support, service and materials to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, calibration and certification of technical equipment and instrumentation. This includes the following: 1) Hyperbaric Chamber Maintenance; 2) Human Centrifuge Device; 3) Hypobaric Chamber Maintenance; and 4) Technical Visual Information Systems Maintenance and Operations.
