Request for proposals are being solicited to provide Supply, Processing & Distribution Services (SPD). Requirement: Contractor to furnish all necessary labor and supervision to perform a variety of duties in the Supply, Processing & Distribution Section of Acquisition & Materiel Management Service at the Overton Brooks VAMC, 510 E. Stoner Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101. Services include but not limited to receiving, inspection, restocking and rotation of medical supplies in the Central Sterile Storage area utilizing the principles of First-In, First-Out and maintain inventory/delivery to secondary ward supply closets located within the Medical Center. Barcode scanners are utilized to inventory and maintain set par levels at secondary delivery locations. The medical center also supports and provides medical supplies to three Community Based Outpatient Clinics. Additional duties include telephone call-ins for supplies/equipment, delivery of medical gases, IV solutions, cleaning and reissue of various types of medical equipment, cleaning, stocking and reissue of disaster and crash carts. Individuals performing under this contract are required to lift at least 50 pounds, sustain prolonged periods of standing, walking and bending. SIC 8099, $5 million.
