14 -- LIGHT DEFENDER WEAPON SYSTEM INTEGRATION POC Contact, John Britt, Phone (301) 757-5930 Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a modification to research the concept of operations, Integrated Logistics Support impacts, and feasibility of integrating the Light Defender Weapon System on SH-60R Helicopters. The study will identify program risks and review form/fit/function aspects. This effort is expected to last approximately four months. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Israel Military Industries (IMI), Ramat Hasharon, Israel, c/o IMI Services USA, Inc., 7910 Woodmont Avenue, Ste. 1410, Bethesda MD 20814. IMI is the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the Light Defender Weapon System and the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, data, and experience to perform this effort within the required time frame.
