Brighton, Minnesota, Remediaiton for Operable Units 1 and 3. 2. The
site is a closed wood treating facility that used Pentachlophenol (PCP)
and creosote to treat wood. 3. Excavation and screening of aproximately
18,000 cubic yards of soil from OU1. 4. Excavation of approximately
23,900 cubic yards of PCP contaminated soil from OU3. 5. Removal and
disposal of debris including wood, concrete and metal from excavated
material in OU1. 6. Backfilling and compaction of OU1 with screened
soils from OU1 and approximately 11,200 cubic yards of soil from OU3.
7. Construction of a RCRA equivalent cap of approximately 2 acres
ending in a finshed parking lot. 8. Placing approximately 12,700 cubic
yards of soil from OU3 onsite for soil treatment. 9. Backfill and
compaction of OU3. 10. Disposal of ou3 soils off-sitethat do no meet
site-cleanup standards. 11. Site restoration and berm constuction. 12.
The project is funded using Federal and State superfund money. 13.
Contractor will need to comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for Hazardous
Waste Operations and Emergency Response. 14. Copies of plans and specs
are available from Terracon at 651-770-1500 with a $50 deposite. 15.
Bids will be opened on May 31, 2000 at 2:30 PM CSDT at the MInnesota
