Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6
as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This notice constitutes the only solicitation; price quotes are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation (DTCG81-00-Q-3TM153)is issued as a Request for Quotation
(RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisiton Circular 97-17.
FAR clauses and provisions are available via internet address:
http://www.arnet.gov/far/. This aquisition is 100% set-aside for small
business concern. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is
3812/750 employees (information available via internet address
http://www.osha.gov/oshstats/sicser.html. Item description is as
follows: Quantity 34 ea. Depthfinder, with the following salient
characteristics: a.) Graphic Display on Main Receiver and Remote
Display (i.e. two(2) graphic displays with one transducer and no A/B
switching unit.), b.) Remote and Main to have all the same functions
(i.e. able to change ranges and all setting.), c.) Equipment able to
send depth information from other equipment and receive positioning
information from other equipment (i.e. has a NMEA port.), d.) Functions
at two(2) frequencies 50khz and 200khz., and e.) meets USC46 CFR and
IPSS for weather integrity. This is a Firm-Fixed Price Contract.
Acceptance: Destination. F.O.B: Destination. Delivery 9 June 2000.
Delivery to: Boston, MA 02109 (5 ea.), Portsmouth, VA 223703 (9 ea.),
Miami Beach, FL 33139 (5 ea.), and New Orleans, LA 70117 (15 ea.).
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision(s) that applies to this
RFQ: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (MAR 2000),
52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (JAN 1999). Government will award
a contract resulting from this RFQ to the responsive, responsible
offeror. Price, Technical Capability and Past Performance factors
(please provide points of contact, telephone numbers, and type of
supplies of which contracts have been satisfactorily completed of at
least 2 current references) will be used to evaluate quotes. All RFQ's
shall be accompanied by descriptive literature that meets the
specifications of equipment being quoted. No consideration will be
given to quotes lacking this and any other information set forth in the
solicitation. 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and
Certifications-Commercial Items (Feb 2000) shall be completed and
returned with RFQ's, and 52.214-21, Descriptive Literature (APR 1984).
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses that applies to this RFQ:
52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required Commercial Items (MAY
1999), 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (FEB 2000) applies as
follows: paragraph (b)(5),(7),(11),(12),(13),(14),(15),(18), and (23).
In compliance with the said clause, the following additional FAR
clause 52.252-1, Clauses Incorporated by Reference (FEB 1998) as part
of and apply to this RFQ: 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business
Set-Aside (JUL 1996), 52.232-8, Discount for Prompt Payment (MAY 1997),
52.246-1, Contractor Inspection Requirements (APR 1984). Please provide
all information required in FAR provision 52.212-1 and a completed copy
of 52.212-3 so as not to leave out and pertinent information from your
