This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DTCG85-00-R-6HYG03 and is issued as a Request for Proposals. The time and date established for receipt of offers is 3:00 p.m., local Alameda, CA time, May 25, 2000. The Standard Industrial Code applicable to this solicitation is 5172 and the small business standard is 500 employees. The contract to be awarded is Requirements Type, Fixed Price. The estimated quantity of this requirement is 600,000 USG and covers delivery of fuel to USCGC HEALY during a port call in St. John's, Newfoundland scheduled for 01-02 JUN 2000. The following line items are solicited: CLIN 0001, Bunker Fuel, Naval Distillate (B-76), NSN 9140-01-447-1031 and CLIN 002, Commercial Marine Gas Oil (MGO), NSN 9140-01-313-7776. Contractors may propose for either CLIN 0001 or CLIN 0002. IMPORTANT NOTE: All prices shall be quoted in U.S. dollars; contract payment shall be in U.S. dollars. Actual quantity of fuel required at time of delivery may vary from estimated quantity. Delivery for CLIN 0001 shall be by pipeline at contractor's marine terminal facility in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, on 01-02 JUN 2000. Delivery for CLIN 0002 shall be by barge in St. John's, Newfoundland, at a commercial pier to be designated by the Coast Guard, on 01-02 JUN 2000.
