A REVISION TO SUBMISSION NO. 442597 Dated April 07,2000 Solicitation
No. OA-3208 A -- The U.S. Department of Commerce/ITA/SABIT Program has
a requirement for an individual to be responsible for maintaining the
Business Information Service for the Newly Independent States (BISNIS)
Online Homepage. This position is for an entry-level person, who may
either be just graduating from college or may be transitioning from
another career into the IT field. This person should only possess a
fairly basic knowledge of HTML. The contractor will be responsible for
executing daily updates to place new information on BISNIS' home page,
updating hypertext links, and tracking usage statistics. This work will
involve formatting documents in HTML, development of graphic design
elements, and scripting Java and search tools. The individual will also
work to add links to the BISNIS page on search engines and Web sites
focusing on Russia and the (NIS). Finally, the individual will be
responsible for light maintenance of the Web Server. Tasks:(1)
Individual will be responsible for daily fresh uploads and/or updates
of BISNIS Internet home page of no less than (7) documents per day,
with an average length of document of approximately (4) pages. (2)
Individual will be responsible for other updates and changes to the
existing BISNIS home page as required. (3) Individual will track usage
statistics on BISNIS home page and maintain a summary of these
statistics, available online for internal use. (4) Individual will be
responsible for maintaining and, as appropriate, updating the BISNIS
Web Server, independent from, yet conversant with existing
International Trade Administration servers/configurations, as dictated
by BISNIS management on necessary hardware and software purchases. An
Evaluation Criteria is available upon request. The period of
performance will be for (12) months beginning (on or about June 2000).
BISNIS estimates that the contract will require approximately (25)
hours a week. Qualified applicants are invited to submit information as

All received responses will be evaluated on a "Best Value" basis giving
due consideration to price, approach, and past performance. Award will
