Air ambulance service on an "as required" basis within the Northern region of the continental United States (CONUS) (includes all states in the CONUS EXCEPT Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee). Contractor shall furnish jet aircraft with medical staff. Both aircraft and medical staff must comply with technical specifications and standards prescribed by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) and be accredited by CAMTS. Service in this region requires an estimated 15,000 Great Circle Statute Miles (GCSM) and 44 patient care hours per year. Period of performance is one (1) year with two (2) one-year options under FAR 52.219-9, and an option to extend service not more than six (6) months under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-8. To be awarded a contract under this solicitation, prospective offerors must satisfy all DoD Commercial Air Carrier Quality and Safety Requirements as described in 32 CFR, Part 861.3, and the DoD Additional Standards for Contract Passenger Operations under FAR Part 135.
