Dredging of the 33 ft. project will be required to a depth of 33 ft, Schuykill River Datum plus 2 foot allowable overdepth limited by a vertical plane through the 33 ft. contour, with no side or end slopes delineated and (or) paid for along both channel edges (box cut). Maintenance dredging from Station 20+487 to 22+665. Dredging of the 26 ft. project will be required to a depth of 26 ft. Schuykill River datum plus 1 ft. allowable overdepth limited by a vertical plane through the 26 ft. contour, with no side or end slopes delineated and (or) paid for along both channel edges (box cut). The Government-owned Fort Mifflin containment site, Area A, will be available for this work. The SIC Code for this project is 1629 and the small business size standard is $13.5 million (to be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern). Issue date for the plans and specifications is on, or about, May 30, 2000, with a bid opening date on, or about, June 29, 2000. Solicitation documents will be furnished on CD-ROM only; hard copies will not be available. One copy of the CD-ROM will be furnished to each bidder at no charge. All requests must include a physical street address, telephone number, fax number, point of contact, and business size. Additional copies of the CD-ROM will be provided at a charge of $5.00/CD.
