PRESOLICITATION NOTICE TO NOTIFY CONTRACTORS OF A FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION MISCELLANEOUS REPAIRS TO BEQ 1 AND 3 AT THE NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION, CHINA LAKE, CA The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to replace 160 existing chilled water fan coil units with 160 packaged heat pumps. Work includes removal of existing chilled and hot water piping from concealed spaces, providing transformers and underground electrical supply to the building, and removal and disposal of asbestos cement siding from various locations on the building. Repair of interior and exterior walls removed during construction including painting and finishing is also part of this contract. Other work involves replacing existing bathroom fans with fans with new cabinet type exhausters. Texture coating of existing interior concrete masonry walls is also required. The work includes all related work, complete and ready for use including cleanup. Performance time is 240 calendar days.
