NASA/JSC plans to purchase the commercial chassis for the X-38 (Vehicle 201 Testbed) Flight Computer System, Command and Telemetry Data System. A combination of fourteen(14) 7-slot rack mount chassis and thirty(30) 12-slot chassis, as well as required filler panels for each chassis are to be purchased. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are __3764___and 1000 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-17. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about May 8, 2000 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about May 15, 2000. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
