The work to be performed consists of: (a) removing and storing two existing fiberglass reinforced caustic storage tanks; (b) designing, furnishing, and installing four new fiberglass reinforced caustic storage tanks; (c) testing the new fiberglass reinforced caustic tanks; (d) furnishing four continuous level detection systems for the new fiberglass reinforced caustic tanks; (e) furnishing one skid-mounted sulfuric acid feed system with rebuild kits for the pumps; and (f) four variable frequency drives with inductors. The tanks will be installed in the Leadville Treatment Plant located in Lake County, Colorado, about 1 mile northeast of Leadville, Colorado. The equipment to be furnished will be delivered to the Leadville Treatment Plant. The performance period is 94 days after issuance of award, with a target completion date of November 27, 2000. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for July 25, 2000, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana Room 2031. There is no charge for the first copy of this solicitation, additional sets may be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed without charge, at the address mentioned above. All reasonable sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
