Woodson (703) 695-5185 Desc: (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; price quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) For the purpose of this acquisition the solicitation number is MDA946-00-T-0054, this is a Request For Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 dated 4/25/00. (iv) This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns only. The small business industrial classification for this type of service is 5049 with number of employees not exceeding 100. (v) Provide a quote for the following contract line item numbers (CLIN) as follows: CLIN 0001 Furnish and install a Brahler ICS USA or Equal Language Interpretation System in accordance with the following description of requirement. (vi) Description of Requirement: Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, equipment and transportation to furnish and install Brahler ICS USA or Equal Language translation system. The following product or equal is requested for the system: (1) DIS C19005 Central Control Unit, 4 Channel Plus Floor Language, (1) DIS JB900 Junction Box, (2) DISIS9009 single interpreters console, (3) disIH900 Interpreters headset with boom microphone, (1) DIS OP9009 Operator's panel, (2) DIS RA15-8 Infrared radiators permanently installed. (50) DIS Iri1-6B Infrared receivers, six channel, battery operation, (50) DIS DH8003 Stethoscope style headphones, 2 DIS SB12-5252 storage box for 25 infrared receivers, (2) DIS 2B12-5243 storage box for 25 headphones, (1) DIS SB9009 storage box for interpreter's consoles and headsets, DIS EC9000-20 cable installed between the control unit and the interpreters console junction box. (vii) Location: The system shall be installed in the OSD Executive Support Center Conference Room, Room 3C912, Pentagon Building, Arlington, Virginia. (viii) FAR clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial applies to this acquisition. Addendum 52.214-31 FACSIMILE BID (DEC 1989) is also applicable. (ix) FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items is not included. The Government intends to evaluate quotes and award a contract without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer is necessary. The Government may reject any or all quotes if such action is in the public interest; accept other than the lowest quote; and waive informalities and minor irregularities in offer received. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government. (x) Offers are required to provide a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications (web site: http://www.gsa.gov)-Commercial Items with their offer.
