The Naval Air Systems intends to award sole source contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company for discretionary common and peculiar post production support for all Foreign Military Sales which includes but not limited to Canada, Australia, Kuwait, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Malaysia and Thailand. The following services to be provided are as follows: analysis, plans, data research and studies, trade studies, development of rough order of magnitude (ROM), estimates and resulting bid, proposal charges and material. NAVAIR will issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity with Cost Plus Fixed Fee pricing arrangement with a Level of Effort (LOE) of anticipated 20,000 labor hours. Total estimated value against this contract N00019-00-D-0149 is $35,000,000. Period of performance is 1 June 2000 through 30 September 2002. As sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and supplier of the F/A-18 weapon system, MDC is the only firm possessing the technical knowledge, expertise and familiarity with the aircraft's design and operation required to successfully provide the integration and testing of the aircraft.
