Arizona VA Health Care System has a requirement for an
Architect/Engineering firm to provide design services for "Renovate
Ambulatory Surgery Building 107", in Prescott, Arizona. The project
will completely update the surgical area, to include architectural,
mechanical and electrical. The two chillers serving the area are in
need of replacement. HVAC system to be replaced with system to ensure
constant temperature, humidity and air exchanges. All environmental air
quality standards will be met and patient comfort improved. The
electrical system will be updated with new electrical panels that have
adequate circuits to service the surgical suites, procedure and clinic
areas. New finishes such as floor tile, carpeting, wall covering and
acoustical ceilings will be installed. Correct inadequate locker room
space, inadequate patient waiting space, improper SPD storage and
numerous space and functional problems. The project to include all
design and other professionalservices, to include the services of an
Industrial Hygienist. The estimated construction cost is between
$500.000 and $1,000,000. SIC 8712. Geographical limitation of within a
200-mile radius of the Prescott VA Medical Center is established.
Interested, qualified firms meeting geographical limitation are invited
to submit SF 254 and SF 255. See Note 24 Evaluation Factors, by June 9,
2000 or within 30 days of this publication, which ever is later. Submit
to: NA VA Health Care System, Contracting Officer (142K), 500 Highway
89 North, Prescott, AZ 86313. Due to the similarity of design services
for this project and that of another project "Renovate Clinical Space
in Building 107" (CBDNet Submission No 446804, Posted date April 19,
2000, as modified) and this project, and based on responses received,
the VA may elect to perform the A/E selection process for both projects
