The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement to remove a coating from a perimeter wall of the United States Penitentiary, located at Leavenworth, Kansas. The coating has been determined to contain asbestos and lead. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) applicable to this notice is 1799. Contract duration will be 630 calendar days from notice to proceed. Bid, performance and payment bonds will be required. Solicitation packages will be available on or after May 30, 2000.
