This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00173-00-R-CB02 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 and DCN 20000413. This RFP is being issued under 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The standard industrial classification code is 5845 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The contract line item numbers are 0001, The contractor shall provide an Acoustic Projection System in accordance with Attachment No. 1, 0001AA Acoustic Projection Unit in accordance with Section 3.2 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, 0001AB Power System in accordance with Section 3.3 ofAttachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, 0001AC Electromechanical Tow Cable in accordance with Section 3.4 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, 0001AD Deck Cable in accordance with Section 3.5 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, 0002 The contractor shall provide telephone/fax/e-mail support and training in accordance with Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) LO and 0003 data in accordance with Exhibit A, DD1423 Not Separately Priced (NSP). Line items that follow are Options 1 through 6: Option 1 (0004) Frequency-Range Extension to 10 kilohertz in accordance with Section 8.2 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, Option 2 (0005) Winch and Handling System in accordance with Section 8.3 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, and NOTE: Option 3 (0006) through Option 6 (0009) that follow the government reserves the right to exercise the options up to a quantity of 8 times, Option 3 (0006) Engineering Sensor Modules in accordance with Section 8.6 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, Option 4 (0007) Projection Element(s) in accordance with Section 8.1 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, Option 5 (0008) Power Amplifiers in accordance with Section 8.4 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each, and Option 6 (0009) Calibration of Projection Elements in accordance with Section 8.5 of Attachment No. 1 for a quantity of one (1) each. YEAR 2000 COMPLIANT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY -- This requirement applies to information technology (IT) that processes date-related information. All such IT delivered under this contract shall be Year 2000 compliant as defined at FAR 39.002. 2.) REQUIREMENTS FOR ON-SITE CONTRACTORS -- For those portions of the work under this contract performed at any NRL site, the contractor shall comply with the Requirements for On-Site Contractors dated 11 April 2000 which are hereby incorporated by reference. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE -- Inspection and acceptance of the system will be accomplished by Technical Manager in 30 days from completion of training on the delivered system. 4.)
