NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from ANADEX. THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE. IT IS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT INSTRUMENT, A FREQUENCY TO DC CONVERTER, ANADEX MODEL # PI-608-NASA.THE ANADEX MODEL PI-608-NASA FREQUENCY TO DC CONVERTER HAS A DESIGN MODIFICATION FOR USE SPECIFICALLY FOR NASA GLENN RESEARCH CENTER AND IS REQUIRED FOR THESE DIRECT REPLACEMENTS. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
