The US Coast Guard is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive basis from qualified organizations to award a contract for UHF/VHF Biconical Omnidirectional Antenna P/N: RF-9070, Mounting Mast for RF-9070 P/N: RF-9071, VHF Omnidirectional Antenna P/N: RF-290, Encryption Adapter Kit P/N: RF-3991, Digital Encryption Option P/N: RF-3997, Headset, Single Ear Piece P/N: RF-3014-01, Remote Control System P/N: RF-3045AL/R, Rechargeable Battery P/N: BB-590/U, Battery Charger P/N:10309-0550. Specifications for Coast Guard Port Security Unit Radio Components 1) UHF/VHF Biconical Omnidirectional Antenna: broadband UHF/VHF (100-420 MHz) antenna covering commercial and military communications frequencies. Power handling capability is at least 400 watts. Radiation pattern is omnidirectional. Should use a Type N (female) connector. Capable of mechanically mounting to Wilburt 25 ft. Hurry-up Telescoping Mast (#903614). If antenna not compatible for mounting directly to Wilburt 25 ft. Hurry-up Telescoping Mast (#903614), appropriate adaptor should be provided or identified for purchase. Weight should not exceed capability of Wilburt 25 ft. Hurry-up Telescoping Mast (#903614). Must be compatible with Harris Corporation RF-2117R/T (Receiver/Transmitter). 2) VHF Omnidirectional Antenna: broadband VHF (30-88 MHz), useable up to 120 MHz. Power handling capability is at least 400 watts. Radiation pattern is omnidirectional. Should be transportable: packaged with bag, collapsable antenna mounting mast (at least 30 feet high), 75-100 feet coaxial cable, ground stakes, mounting base, and guy assemblies. Must be compatible with Harris Corporation RF-2117R/T (Receiver/Transmitter). 3) Digital Encryption Device: provide the Harris Corporation RF-2117R/T (Receiver/Transmitter) with an advanced 16-kbps digitally encrypted data and voice system with capbility to be programmed with up to six user defined key codes with up to 1 x 10 to 52nd power possible combinations. Should operate in frequency hopping or single-channel mode to encrypt data or analog voice, and in transmission configuration, to retransmit encrypted voice without going to clear voice. Should contain a front-panel which permits selection of clear or encrypted voice codes, and emergency dump. Must be able to be installed onto Harris Corporation RF-2117R/T (Receiver/Transmitter). Factory installation preferred. 4) Encryption Adaptor Kit: adapts Digital Encryption Device from an AN/PRC-117D Manpack to a Harris Corporation AN/VRC-94(D)V2 Base Station Transceiver. 5) Headset, Single Ear Piece: high-grade MIL headset with adjustable boom microphone and single earpiece. Must be compatible with Harris Corporation RF-2117R/T (Receiver/Transmitter). 6)Remote Control System: remote audio control system. Should provide remote transmitter keying, audio modulation, and audio reception to an operator (max range of 3 miles) over standard field wire and order wire communications between local and remote operators, with ring-down signaling. Should provide front-panel switch to select _Local_ or _Remote_ operation. Should contain two remote control units that are battery powered (rechargeable batteries preferred), carrying case for both remote control units, and carrying bag for all components. Compatible battery recharger should be included or identified for purchase. Must be compatible with Harris Corporation RF-2117R/T (Receiver/Transmitter). 7) Rechargeable Battery: rechargeable battery to provide power to Harris Corporation AN/PRC-117D Manpack Transceiver and/or AN/VRC-94(D)V2 Base Station Radio.
