D -- ON-CALL AUDIO-VISUAL MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION SYSTEM DESIGN, INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES The General Services Administration intends to issue a sole source contract to Onyx Engineering Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through 9T0Z008A, the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-17. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The objective of this task is to provide on-call audio-visual multimedia presentation systems design, installation and maintenance services at various U. S. government installations, on as-needed basis. Typical multi-media equipment includes Electrohome projection systems, Crestron multimedia control equipment, speakers, audio amplifiers, powered projection screens, PC's, computer peripherals, video cassette recorders, and lighting control relays/dimmers. Services included will be functions such as: system designs, installations, maintenance, removals, relocations and re-installations; adding or deleting hardware components for custom applications; generating/modifying system functional software; and repair/replace defective parts. Personnel providing service shall be Electrohome Factory trained personnel. The company shall have a certified Crestron programmer on staff. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
