least 120 ft in length, needed to conduct study beginning on or about
July 1, 2000 for 31 days, with an option for the Government to extend
up to five additional days. Charter will begin and end in Dutch Harbor,
Alaska. Vessel must have minimum main engine continuous horsepower of
1000, be able to tow a standard Bergin Sea sole or Pacific cod bottom
trawl with an 80 foot headrope. Must be completely rigged and ready to
fish, and have a clean, flush deck area for scientific sampling of at
least 800 sq ft. The vessel must be staffed with five crew members
consisting of a Captain, cook-fisherman, engineer-fisherman, and tow
fishermen. The Government's scientific field party will consist of six
or seven people, and may include both men and women. Alternate
proposals which may not meet all specifications, are encouraged to
