The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNS), a wholly-owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area who can provide meeting space, meals, audio/visual equipment, transportation and lodging from September 24 through September 26, 2000 for its 2000 Learn and Serve America Grantees Training Conference. Lodging: 300 single rooms for two nights beginning September 24 and September 25, 2000 and 30 single rooms on September 26, 2000. Meeting Spaces: One (1) general assembly meeting room to seat 325 people (set up 30 skirted roundtables with 10 chairs per table) on September 25 and September 26, 2000. Ten (10) breakout rooms (set up 5 skirted roundtables with 8 chairs per table in each room) on September 25 and September 26, 2000. One (1) exhibit area with 5 rectangular or 5 skirted round tables September 24 through September 26, 2000. In Registration: A desk with a telephone and four (4) large covered tables in the foyer outside the general assembly meeting room. Audio Visual Equipment: Podium, microphone, and TV/VCR with screen in general assembly room on September 25, 2000 and September 26, 2000. One additional VCR with screen for use in any of the breakout rooms. One overhead, screen and flipchart with markers for each breakout room September 25 and September 26, 2000. Miscellaneous: Availability to make copies and send faxes. Meals: September 25 and September 26, 2000, continental breakfast (tea, coffee, juice, bagels, croissants, cream cheese, fresh fruit, assorted muffins, butter, jelly preserves, donuts and pastries) for 325 people from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. September 25 and September 26, 2000, lunch for 325 people from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Menu to be finalized upon review of selections. Breaks: September 25 and September 26, 2000 from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., soft drinks, spring water, iced tea, coffee, and assorted cookies for 325 people. Water should be provided for all meeting rooms. Transportation: Shuttle service between your facility and the local airport. Cost for shuttle service will be billed directly to individual users. The Federal Regulation requires that any hotel/conference space contracted shall meet and comply with American Disabilities Act (ADA) and the FEMA Fire Prevention and Control guidelines. To be considered, proposals must include the following information: (1) Lodging rates for single rooms for each night. (2) Cost per day for each meal served.
