Construction of 5,036 sq. meter 3 story dormitory facility with supporting fire sprinkler systems, HVAC, hydraulic elevator, communications wiring, site work & utilities. The dormitory facility will be a steel-formed structure with composite floor framing. The standing seam metal roof will be conventionally framed with hoists bearing on ridge beams. Exterior walls will consist of brick & integrally colored split face CMU on an inner scythe of regular CMU. Interiors consist of pointing (accent color on one wall of bedrooms) on gypsum board, molded polymer walls surrounds in bathrooms at tub, carpet, sheet vinyl, ceramic tile floors (common toilets, laundry, telephones, vending) and painted gypsum board ceilings (acoustical tile in common areas). Site work includes paving concrete curb and gutters, landscaping, irrigation system and area lighting. Demolition of an existing building containing asbestos is required. Time of completion is 360 days from 22 December 2000, which is the estimated date of availability of the site. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this project is 1542.
