This project is for the repairing and repaving of the parking lot, with removal of old AC dike and construction of new AC dike. Remove an old water faucet and install a new water faucet; restriping the repaved parking area; constructing an accessible loading ramp; realigning (to accessible standards) pathway leading from upper parking area to restrooms, installing new parking signs, removing one refuse bin pad and constructing two new refuse bin pads; and placing of barrier rocks. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. There will be a non-mandatory prebid meeting on June 22, 2000 at 10 a.m. at project site. Project site is located in the Crystal Basin Recreation Area off of the Ice House Road (Route 3) in Eldorado County, on the Pacific Ranger District. To reach the project site from Placerville travel east for 25 miles on U.S. 50 to Riverton. Turn north on Ice House Road (Route 3) and travel approximately 15 miles to the turn off, on the left, for Peninsula Recreation Area.
