The work includes building demolition, earthwork and site utilities. Work also includes removal and disposal of materials remaining in the facility, termination of utilities and disassembly, removal, and disposal of equipment and accessories remaining in the facility. Other work includes protection of adjacent structures and property, erosion and sedimentation control measures, and quality control work. Asbestos will be abated by others. The estimated cost of the work is between $470,000.00 and $525,000.00 with construction completion no later than 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. There will be a preproposal meeting held on site (135 "A" Street, Boston, MA) on Thursday, June 1, 2000 beginning at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the specifics of this project. Prior to award, the successful contractor will be required to submit a project-specific safety plan acceptable to the USPS Contracting Officer.
