This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items with services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Avon Park Air Force Range, Florida has a requirement to replace one 50 ton commercial air-conditioning chilled water condenser located at building 236 which has a total area of 19,018 sq. ft. to be air-conditioned. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, transportation and materials necessary to replace the existing 50 ton, dual compressor Bohn chiller, main breaker, controls (if necessary), and pump coupling with one new high efficiency commercial 50 ton chiller, main breaker, mechanical room pump coupling, controls (if necessary), and piping necessary to connect the new system. Equipment and materials shall be suitable for installation in available space. Equipment shall be furnished complete in all details and shall be of such materials, design, construction, finish, performance and durability to conform in all respects to commercial standards of mechanical and electrical workmanship. Installation shall conform to all federal, state, local, and safety codes. All equipment shall be made compatible to form a system meeting manufacturer_s performance specifications. All potential offerors should attend the site visit at Avon Park, FL at 10:30 a.m. on 17 May 2000. The existing chiller is setting on a concrete slab and has limited space on two sides.
