This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC plans to purchase a 150 GHz radiometer (quantity of 1) per the following specifications: 1) System noise figure: <7.5 db nf. 2) Antenna type: single-polarization (linear) feed-horn with integrated lens. The lens will be plano-convex with 1/4-wave matching groves on the planar side. 3) Frequency range: 148.00 -- 152.00 ghz. 4) Beam width: 4 % +/- 0.1% 5) Beam efficiency: >92% (optimize design for maximum). 6) Maximum flange diameter: Sufficient to meet beam width and efficiency spec with 3/8-inch radius added for mounting by lens face. 7) VSWR over passband: Sufficient to meet NF specification. 8) Insertion loss over passband: Sufficient to meet NF specification. 9) On-axis cross-polarization discrimination over passband: Best effort. 10) Mixer: Second harmonic mixer using planar diodes (no whisker diodes). Lo: 75.00 GHz with better than 5 mhz/deg C temperature stability. 11) IF amplifier: To be supplied by customer. Vendor will integrate the IF amplifier supplied to them. 12) IF Filter: To be supplied by customer. Vendor will integrate the IF filter supplied to them. 13) IF Output: SMA female. 14) Power supply: +15 v. 15) Integration of all components into a ~2" diameter x 4" long cylindrical envelope (minimize envelope dimensions). 16) Delivery 90-120 days. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-17. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3825 and 500 employees, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to GSFC is required within 90 to 120 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
