The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is conducting market research to determine if there are contractors that can provide transportation, storage and disposal services for personal property on a nationwide bases. When order, the USMS takes possession of seized and/or forfeited personal property. This property can be located anywhere in the continental United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. This requirement would include items that can be transported and stored in warehouses, i.e. furniture, electronic equipment, clothing, etc. It would not include vessels, aircraft, vehicles, wildlife, nor real property. The Contractor should be able to communicate electronically with the USMS. Additionally, the USMS should be able to track its property via the Internet. Please submit information about your company (size, location, etc.) its services and pricing information. It is not the intent of the USMS to "reinvent the wheel," but to tailor its requirement to meet current industry standards and pricing structures.
