The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD intends to procure on a sole source basis with Olympic Tool and Machine Company of Aston, PA the manufacturing processes necessary to machine the terminal ends of the Pitch Link, P/N 423R3558. This is required to facilitate maintenance at the Organizational Level. A quantity of approximately 2000 each Pitch Links (two terminal ends per pitch link) shall be machined. The Pitch Link is a flight critical component of the Dynamic Component Upgrade program in the H-46 aircraft. Olympic Tool is the only government qualified supplier of this pitch link and as such is the only source that has the technical expertise that meet the new requirements of the H-46 program.
