Amendment Number 1 to Standing Solicitation Number FFAH-C2-0235-B to The General Services Administration, Federal Supply Service, Automotive Division, Indefinite Quantity, Multiple Award Schedule, FSC Group 23, Section V, covering Aerial Lift Vehicles, Vehicular Equipment and Accessories, Vehicular Bodies, Steel Storage Shelves for Automotive Parts, Construction and Highway Maintenance Equipment, Attachments for Construction, Snow and Highway Maintenance Equipment, and Firefighting and Waste Disposal Vehicles. The solicitation has been amended to add new Special Item Number (SIN)618-04 -- Wild Land Fire Fighting Bodies Mounted on Government Supplied Chassis. The Schedule is titled FSC Group 23, Section V, Vehicular Multiple Award Schedule (VMAS) and the Amendment Number 1 will issue on or about June 12, 2000, and the solicitation will be available by downloading off the Internet at http://eps.gov. The resultant contracts will be indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ). Offerors shall respondwith two hard copies of their proposals. FAX proposals, renewals, or modifications, or FAX withdrawals of proposals, renewals, or modifications are not permitted and will be disregarded if received. Offerors are advised that this solicitation is a "standing" solicitation which will remain in effect until replaced by an updated solicitation. There is no closing date for receipt of offers under this solicitation; therefore, offers may be submitted for consideration at any time. Contracts awarded under this standing solicitation for the FSC Group 23, Part V -- Vehicular Multiple Award Schedule (VMAS), will have variable contract periods; i.e., the schedule period will be continuous, with contracts in effect for five years (exclusive of any options) from the date of award. The Government will award contracts for identical brand name items when offers are determined to be fair and reasonable to the Government. The solicitation incorporates the new commercial acquisition policies, provisions, and clauses in FARPart 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and the final rule, published as GSAR Change 76, regarding acquisitions under the Multiple Award Schedules Program.
