Description: Modification to an existing 90 ton intake gantry crane; A new ESBS handling system, which requires the following modifications: (1) Modification of an existing 10 ton auxiliary hoist with DC drive to an AC flux vector drive, completion of AC flux vector design, relocation of existing brakes, replacement of motor and gear reducer, transducer, machinery bases, load testing, operational testing, and fabrication of a new lifting beam. (2) Removal of existing 7.5 ton lower arm hoist, and fabrication and installation of a new 15 ton hydraulic hoist with power unit and controls, completion of design for hydraulic system and controls, load cell, sheaves, fabricate hoist support base, load testing and operational testing. (3) Modification of wire rope cutout in deck plates above and below trolley for 90-ton main hoist. (4) Addition of position feedback and displays for 3 hoists. And (5) Furnishing of wire rope pendants and wire rope dead end brackets. FOB: The work is for the John Day Dam located approximately 120 miles east of Portland Oregon on the Columbia.
