This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. It is anticipated the resulting order will be awarded on a sole source basis to Van Cleve and Associates of Alexandria, Virginia. The proposed contract action is for supplies the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The action is intended to be an all or nothing award. The requirement is for seven (7) Pro Locator + Non-Linear Junction Detector Systems to include omni-directional antenna with telescoping pole, earpiece, rechargeable batteries, charger and travel case; seven (7) Palm IR Handheld Thermal Imagers to include 50mm lens, battery, charger and carrying case; and eleven (11) Rechargeable Batteries for the thermal imagers.
