synopsis for the fabrication of durable rubber ballast blocks for
airdrop testing in support of the Aviation Systems Division at the
United States Army Yuma Proving Ground. The rubber ballast blocks will
measure approximately 11"x11"x46"(all + inch) and with a longitudinal
hole down the center. The weight shall be no more than 130-135 pounds.
The size and weight are based on an A-22 cargo airdrop container, which
would include 16 of these blocks with weight no more than 2200 pounds
when rigged, and measure no more than 48" wide x 48" long. All
interested parties are invited to provide their capabilities and
estimated cost to provide the above requirement. The results of this
synopsis may result in the issuance of a solicitation package for a
requirements contract that will be utilized by several Department of
Defense installations. Please forward your information and any
