http://www.llnl.gov/IPandC/op96/DPLSLform.htm. Lawrence Livermore
National Laboratory (LLNL), operated by the University of California
under contract with the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking
industrial partners to extend, develop, commercialize, and license our
Liquid Laser technology. LLNL has developed concepts based on flowing
liquids that may lead to high average power lasers for various
applications. Due to the physical properties of flowing liquids it is
possible to manage waste heat and potentially achieve average powers
significantly higher than currently available in solid state lasers.
Partners are sought with commercial, technical and scientific interest
in extending existing Liquid Laser technology, new Liquid Laser
development, or their end use applications. Partners will be expected
to commit substantial financial resources approximating $35 million to
this R&D effort which would include development of potential prototype
Liquid Laser systems, funding appropriate system studies, and
commercializing the resulting prototype system. To ensure
consideration, interested parties must respond in writing to LLNL by
June 8, 2000, and provide the following information: (1) the name and
address of your organization, (2) the name, address, telephone number,
and fax number of a point of contact, (3) a description of your
commercial, technical, and scientific interest in high power lasers
related to the above (4) a description of your organization's financial
and other resources to fund the above R&D effort. A statement of
interest should be sent to Industrial Partnerships and
Commercialization Office, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, P.O.
