The drink tube is an internal tube used on the M40A1, M42A2 and M45 Protective Masks and is part of a drink system that allows the mask user to drink fluids. The drink tube is a molded part constructed from black silicone rubber. The drink tube has a nominal outside diameter of .28 inches and inside diameter opening of .12 inches. The drink tube is "Z" shaped having two bends and when measured along its contour, the tube approximates 2 inches in length. One end of the tube has three barbs, each measuring .12 inches long, which when cut at the base of a given barb allows the user to adjust the tube length to fit the user's lips. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Award will be a basic contract with up to a 130% option. The total estimated quantity for the basic is 22,700pkgs. Each package shall contain 5 each. First Article is required. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 30 May 00.
