US Army Simulation Training and Installation Command (STRICOM) is
seeking information regarding the availability of a training system
comprised of commercially available hardware and software components
that allows commanders at the battalion, brigade and SANG level to
train their subordinate commanders and staff in coordinated unit
operations. This simulation, which will be called Battle Staff Trainer
(BST), shall be fully compatible and interoperable with Distributive
Interactive Simulation (DIS) compliant exisiting and future LAV
Advanced Gunnery Training System (AGTS). It shall provide SANG with an
integrated training system from individual vehicle gunnery training
through SANG level command & staff training. A description of the
requirement of Battle Staff Trainer may be found on STRICOM's home page

Market Survey to be completed by any interested offeror. If interested,

2000. MARKET SURVEY Technical Approach a. Hardware/software block
diagram. b. Description of how you intend to meet the Battle Staff
Trainer goals (Description should be no more than 10 pages (8 1/2 X
11", 10 pitch)). c. Description of how your proposed trainer would meet
the exercise training scenarios. d. Explanation of how you intend to
handle the Arabic translation requirement. Compatability -- Describe
your proposed systems compatibility with the LAV-25 AGTS and its future
growth potential to be interoperable with future versions of the LAV
AGTS. Cost a. Rough Order of Magnitude for your proposed system and its
installation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. b. Rough Order of Magnitude for
the Training Course (para. 2.2.3) c. Rough Order of Magnitude for three
(3) years of Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) plus 90 day transition
period to a follow on contractor. d. Rough Order of Magnitude for
