Bechtel National, Inc. is the Systems Contractor for the Aberdeen Chemical Agent Disposal Facility Project located at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Edgewood, MD. We are seeking additional sources to provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, technical and professional services, and transportation to design, fabricate, and erect the Personnel and Maintenance Building (PMB). The PMB, approximately 19,155 square feet in size, is comprised mainly of pre-engineered wood framed modules, and also includes a separate climate controlled ambulance bay and stick-built maintenance/repair shop on a concrete slab-on-grade. The building houses the facility medical treatment area, lunch room, shower/locker rooms, office space for treaty compliance inspectors, maintenance/repair shop area, and some administrative offices located within the repair shop and medical areas. The medical treatment area contains examination rooms, a decontamination shower room, treatment room, staff day room, and records file area. The PMB also contains common support areas, e.g. mechanical room, communications area, toilets, etc., and associated architectural finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire protection systems and some scientific and medical equipment. Construction activities include some site preparation on an existing minimum of 5' depth of compacted structural fill for foundation placement and placement of the concrete foundation. Construction of the PMB is scheduled to begin on 21FEB01 with an anticipated award date of 15AUG00.
