(PEOAVN) SYNOPSIS# 0009-00. -- The contractor shall conduct a study to investigate improved materials and fastening methods that could be incorporated to produce an improved pitch link boot configuraion. -- This study will also consider previously-designed boot improvements for applicabiity and the contractor shall perform a study to evaluate the P/N 8135 Tester manufactured by Chant Engineering Co. for use with the CH-47D cargo hooks. -- The hydraulically operated P/N 8135 Tester could be an improvement over the dead weight test methods currently used on the CH-47D cargo hooks. -- The study will evaluate the feasibility of using the P/N 8135 Tester and will describe modifications necessary to enable its use on the 145E5505 and 145ES102 Cargo Hooks. -- This procurement is sole source to The Boeing Company, Military Aircraft and Missile Systems Group, P.O.
