Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory has a
requirement for a Scanning Probe Microscope with Amplifier, Vacuum
Evacuation System, Cooling System, Heating Holder, Narrow Area Scanner,
Sample Exchange Function, and Customized Extension Ring. The microscope
system must be small, versatile, PC controlled, capable of operating in
all major modes of SPM (Static AFM, STM, LFM, FM/PD, Dynamic AFM, STS,
CITS, Lateral Modulating LFM and MFM) with atomic resolution. It must
be able to operate in air, controlled gas, liquid and vacuum
environments at temperatures ranging from 130 K to 80 K. It must be
expandable. A standard warranty on parts and labor is required .
Installation and manuals must be included. Due to the performance and
design requirements outlined above, this purchase is considered sole
source to JEOL USA, Inc for the JEOL JSPM-4200 System. Therefore, no
