Descriptions are as follows: CLIN 0001 The specification defines the materials and equipment required to construct a catwalk/conveyor system support structure. The structure shall consist of approximately 370 linear feet by 11 feet of mezzanine structure, two (2) stairways and associated decking, conveyor supports, handrails, toeboards and other equipment necessary to satisfy the requirements of the specification. The catwalk structure shall have a finished height of 11 feet 6 inches measured from the dock elevation to the top of decking. The contractor shall demolish and dispose of the existing conveyor support structure. The contractor shall remove and replace existing electrical conduit supports and air piping supports as necessary. The finished product shall be designed to meet the requirements of the Uniform Building Code for Seismic zone 4 to resist lateral seismic forces without connection to the building structure except for floor anchors. CLIN 0002 The specification defines the materials and equipment required to construct a conveyor system support structure. The component parts and materials shall be mechanically interchangeable with the existing conveyor support structural system. Existing system was originally manufactured by Fraser. The structure shall consist of approximately 325 linear feet of mezzanine structure, one stairway and associated decking, handrails, toeboards and other equipment necessary to satisfy the requirements of the specifications. The structure shall have a finished height of 15 feet, 1-1/4 inches (floor to top of decking). The finished product shall be designed to meet the requirements of the Uniform Building Code for Seismic zone 4 to resist lateral seismic forces without connection to the building structure except for floor anchors.
