The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has a requirement for an Early Warning System that will consist of a complete functional hydrologic instrumentation system with three siren sites, including hardware and software installation, and training of local staff on the use of the hardware and software. The system must also be able to transmit seismic data from sensors installed by Reclamation. The field instrumentation will be installed on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation located in east central Arizona, and is required to be delivered by August 2000. A Request for Quotation is expected to be issued on or about May 23, 2000, with a closing date approximately 15 days thereafter. Firms that believe that they can provide similar items and services described are encouraged to identify themselves and given written notification to the Contracting Officer. This action is set-aside for small businesses only, SIC 3669, size standard 750 employees. Specific site instrumentation requirements and other site information will be available and will be included with the RFQ. The award decision will be based upon a combination of price and technical factors which will be described in the RFQ.
