changes are made to the synopsis originally posted in CBDNet on May 4,
2000, printed issue date: May 8, 2000. The requirement will be
processed using Two-Step Sealed Bidding procedures as defined in FAR
14.5. The solicitation number is changed from USZA92-00-R-0005 to
USZA92-00-B-0001. The estimated solicitation release date is extended
to 5 June 2000. The following text replaces the text published in the
previous synopsis: USASOC, Fort Bragg, North Carolina has a requirement
for supply and delivery of Surrogate and Inert Land Mines for use as
training devices. This will be a Requirements type contract for a base
year with 2 one-year option periods. Multiple awards will be
considered when it is determined cost efficient by the government
through the use of formal competitive procedures in accordance with the
Federal Acquisition Regulation and if it is found advantageous to the
U.S. Government to do so. This procurement is unrestricted, all
interested parties may submit a bid. The estimated receipt for
technical proposals (Step One) is 6 Jul 2000; however, the solicitation
will provide submission requirements to include the exact date and
time. This solicitation will be available on the web site
http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. All contractors must register for the
site and EACH solicitation to ensure that notification of changes are
provided. Please also provide information to this office at
"bowlesb@soc.mil" or fax (910) 432-9345 that you have registered for
solicitation number USZA92-00-B-0001. Paper copies of this solicitation
are not available. The proposal must be submitted to the contracting
office with an original signature; Additionally the files may be
compressed (zipped) into one, self-extracting file entitled
"PROPOSAL.EXE" using WinZip version 7.0 or less. The "PROPOSAL.EXE"
file shall be submitted via the Business Opportunities Page(BOP). All
offerors will have to register on the BOP and select their own password
in order to receive a copy of the solicitation/submit a proposal. We
highly recommend that offerors register early. Also, there is a "demo"
